Welcome!
My name is Lyssa Perry, and I am the PROUD Principal of Tafoya Elementary School! What an amazing school to be a part of for three years! I am a mom of two amazing twin boys, and we moved to Woodland to be closer to family in 2019. I have spent the prior 12 years of my career in the Alum Rock School District, in East Side San Jose, CA, as an elementary teacher, Vice Principal of a middle school, and Principal of an elementary school. My passion is education, working with students, and helping all of my students become great human beings who are proud of themselves.
I am continuously inspired by our students and am proud to serve our vibrant community. Since we opened our doors, Tafoya Elementary has successfully built a community that is rooted in the dedication and positive working relationships among students, parents, and school staff. I am excited to be a member of this community and continue to watch our community continue to flourish!
On behalf of the entire Tafoya staff, I would like to express our commitment to providing a quality educational program with a safe, caring, and educationally challenging environment.
